1 moa vs 3 moa

Re: 1/4" moa vs. 1/8" moa turrets Another thing to consider is the rifle and shooter shooting in a field situation. For your use I'd go with 6 MOA. So at 1 MOA the coverage on the target at say 50 yards would be 1/2″ or at 100 yards it would be roughly 1″. So 3.6" = 1 mrad @ 100yds compared to 1moa = 1.04" @ 100yds if you have to convert. If you magnify an eotech, the dot will still be small (maybe less than 1 moa) while an aimpoint that's 2 moa at 1x remains 2 moa at 3x. The last thing I wanted to mention was MOA. Anyway, have fun knocking the varmints over. As said above, its the brightness/clarity of the dot, not the size. Most people drop the decimal figure. The smaller dot gives you more precision but the bigger dot is easier to pick up and put on target more quickly. Is your rifle accurate enough for 1/8 moa adjustmets. The thing to keep in mind is that it is a unit of measure. Not to mention all the other rifle mounted ones I have. A very bright 3moa dot jumps out quicker than a washed out 6.5 moa dot. Remarkably, Jim’s rifle can do that with factory ammo. A 6 MOA dot will cover a ~3.2" circle. https://www.opticsplanet.com/howto/how-to-choose-a-red-dot-sight.html I recommend the 3.25 MOA dot because it is small enough to allow very precise shots even at a longer distance, and a bigger dot like the 6 MOA dot does not help a shooter pick up … For quick acquisition - the 2 to 8 moa range doesn't really matter that much to me. The actual definition of MOA is somewhat technical. Get to know more about them below. Remember when using moa that it's not exactly 1" per 100 yds. Above is an impressive 15-shot group shot with .260 Remington Federal Premium Ammo. Also, the 507C features three types of reticle – 32 MOA ring only, 2 MOA dot with 32 MOA ring, and 2 MOA dot only. One MOA at 200 yards is a 2” group, at 300 yards a 3” group, etc. I do have a 3 MOA dot on my G34 and a friend has a G34 with a 6 MOA dot both pistols are modified very similarly. – Red dots come in different sizes, ex: 6 MOA, 3.25 MOA, 1 MOA. (*this is an estimate, the actual MOA @ 100 yards is 1.047, but for example’s sake, see above conversion.) You can change this according to your preference by pressing and holding the minus button for 3 seconds. (10.47"@1000yds) whereas with mils everything breaks down by 10, unless converting mils to moa(1 mil @ 1000 yds = 36"), making 1mil @ 1000m = 1m. After seeing a thread about the Holston dot and a Youtube reviewer made the statement that a 2 MOA dot was best so I decided to try a back to back test to better form an opinion. For the kind of matches Jim shoots, he likes to have a rifle that will hold half-MOA for five (5) shots, 3/4-MOA for 15 shots, and 1 MOA for twenty shots. MOA's - 2, 3, 3.25, 6.5, 8, 32. Sights come from 1 MOA to 8 MOA, and even higher. The other factor is how well can you hold under field conditions. I can't find a source, but eotechs have a center dot smaller than 1 moa, but it seems like 1.5 moa because of the bloom. These are some of the characteristics of the units under the Holosun 507C line-up. I know that I can't hold 1/8 moa under field conditions. If you are holding on a target at 50 yards, a 3 MOA dot will cover a ~1.6" circle.
